Brian Campbell
n addition to coaching all levels of little league boys baseball and girls softball, Brian F. Campbell has also coached basketball and volleyball at St Cyprian.
Coach Campbell is licensed by the I.H.S.A. as a basketball official and a baseball umpire. This is also his fourth year serving as treasurer of River Grove Baseball. For the past five years, he and his wife Shawn (Guerin Alum ’78), have been Co-Athletic Directors at St.Cyprian.
After serving last year as Coach Pecoraro’s unofficial statistician, this is Campbell's first year coaching at the high school level.
"I am truly honored to be given this opportunity. I will attempt to make every effort to worthy of this award," he said.
Campbell says he enjoys working with young athletes and hopes this is the beginning of a long, prosperous endeavor.
Coach Campbell and his wife will celebrate their 22nd anniversary June. They live in Rover Grove with 3 children, 2 of whom are currently attending Guerin Prep.

Tom Stein - Head Coach Varsity Softball
Mr. Stein has been teaching Social Science at Guerin College Prep and at Mother Guerin for 37 years and is currently the Dean of Global Studies. He began coaching in 1978 and has been coaching softball at Guerin since 1994. His Guerin teams have a record of 169-116 and have won GCAC white division championships in 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2003 and an IHSA regional championship in 2008. He also coached teams to league or tournament titles in 1981, 1983, 1984 and 1988. Mr. Stein was elected to the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association Education and Publications Committee in 2007 and has been nominated to the High School All-American and Coaching Staff of the Year-North Division-Committee.
Louis Rangel - Assistant Coach

Mr. Rangel is a thirteen year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, husband and father of four. He coached basketball at Our Lady of Victory for eight years as well as boys’ baseball for six years and girls’ softball for two years at Dunham Park.
Victor Parra - Assistant Coach
Varsity Softball
Mr. Parra has been the head coach for the Northlake Knights boys’ baseball traveling team for the past three years. He began coaching with his son’s baseball team seven years ago. He has also served as Head Coach for the St. Beatrice basketball and volleyball teams for the past two years.
Head Junior Varsity Coach - Denise Susin
Ms. Susin has been teaching Physical Education at Guerin College Prep and at Mother Guerin for 32 years and is currently the Girls Ahtletic Director. She is a graduate of Mother Guerin High School. She started the softball program at Guerin in 1977 and was the Varsity coach from 1977 to 1985. Ms Susin has also coached Track, Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer at Guerin Prep and Mother Guerin. Her Guerin softball teams won GCAC West Division Championships in 1978,1979, and 1980. Ms. Susin served as Recording Secretary for the Girls Catholic Conference and was elected to the GCAC hall of fame in 2005 and the Illinois USSA Hall of Fame in 2009. She is also a member of the Chicago 16inch Softball Hall of Fame. On September 19, 2009 Ms Susin's jersey was retired by Guerin College Prep.
Assistant Junior Varsity Coach - Leo Roman
Mr. Roman is a nineteen year veteran of the Chicago Fire Department. He has 26 years experience as a player including 16 years as a pitcher. He has won 10 fast pitch tournaments. For the last seven years he has been a member of the Puerto Rican national team which plays in Canada, Cuba, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Mr. Roman was the pitching coach at North Park University in 2008 and 2009 has has coached Woman's Fast pitch Softball for the last four years. He has also coached at Shurz high school for four years.
